Proposed Residential Zoning Updates (NEXT MEETING 10-27-2026)

The City is considering updates to its residential zoning code to better reflect existing neighborhoods and the goals of the Clayton Tomorrow 2040 Comprehensive Plan. The proposed updates primarily clarify and reorganize existing regulations, with a limited number of targeted changes based on existing neighborhood conditions and resident feedback. The Plan Commission reviewed the changes on September 14 and October 5. At their meeting on October 5, the Plan Commission voted to recommend approval of the proposed zoning changes as submitted. The City Council will review the proposed changes on October 27. Below are links to previous presentations and related materials.
